SMT which called surface-mount technology is an important process in electronic manufacturing. The electronic assembly process not only placing and soldering components to the PCB but also include applying soldering paste, setting program, placing components, etc. In short, the tiny electronic components are placed on the surface of the printed circuit board with the machine automatically.
The first step of SMT is to load the feeders with the surface mount components and placed them on the board. Each feeder was precisely placed. After the program was set up by professional workers, the machine will automatically pick and place the components with different sizes and locations. After the paste was ‘printed’ on the boards, the boards will send to an oven to heated. This process is soldered the components harder by the high temperature of the curing machine. Next, boards will be picked and place into the camera.
In SMT patch processing, manual welding is often used machine when the machine is not suitable for the patch. And it is commonly applied in repairing electronic products or making small-batch samples. The welding quality also directly affects the maintenance effect so hand welding is a very practical skill. That’s why we put time and money to cultivate skilled workers.
After SMT, the product will be sent to final assemble. Like affixing lens on the PCB boards, combing all parts into a mature item. And go through different testing before package.
